The Clean & Press combines the power clean and the chest press to make a full body workout designed to challenge your strength, power, and body control. Beginning with the pulling of a clean and finishing with the pushing of a chest press, it doesn't get much better than the Clean & Press for foundational strength and power development.
A lot of the effectiveness of this workout comes from the combination of push and pull in a single move. The lift starts with the clean, engaging the quads, hamstrings, glutes, and hip flexors. After the clean, the press works the arms, shoulders, and chest. Doing this workout with the FlipSled transforms it to an angular lift from a hinge point rather than strictly vertical lift -- which increases the functional driving power developed. This lift combines elements of two of the main power lifts, the deadlift and chest press, to help build a strong strength and power foundation.
